This year is the weirdest winter of all time. When socializing indoors might kill you or your family. So you gotta get outside to hang with your friends. Or else!
It’s dark and cold and a virus is on the prowl!
That’s how it’s always been to an extent. Skiers are always under threat of flu or worse if they screw up and behave unhygienically. Don’t share water bottles!
But thankfully we have a way to save everyone’s good time this winter! XC skiing! People got outside to socialize safely this summer. Well the same will hold true this winter. And there’s only one way to do it! Via XC skiing! XC skiing is going to save winter! XC skiing uses your whole body to have snow fun. So you stay warm! Nothing else works as well.
(Hot tip: the best way to get cozy is to first go skiing THEN come inside and snuggle around a fireplace with a hot beverage. The previous cold makes the subsequent heat that much snugglier.)
If you have snow around, you can safely ski and have fun with your friends. The virus doesn’t get people outside!
Skiing is fun for only 3 reasons: glide, rhythm and flow. You need all 3 to smile. And any kind of skiing will give them. All skiing is one! XC skiing is NOT essentially different from snowboarding or downhill skiing. They’re ALL only ways of delivering the 3 things I listed. Nothing relevant can be added or taken away. Each factor is relative but must be present.
So as soon as we have snow, we can turn on winter! The crazy thing is that snow fun lasts LONGER than winter. Early spring will still have snow! Snow is not just about winter! There is so much our culture doesn’t snow about skiing and fun in the snow.
