Yay! Big winter storm on the way!
Wow, we go from dry warm biking to what looks like GOOD SNOW.
…So it looks like the Stinchfield Loppet is on! 10 a.m. start, this Sunday, at the Professional Building Parking Lot just west of N. Territorial & Dexter-Pinckney a couple miles S of Pinckney.
Last year 30 folks showed up for casual but challenging ski fun. If ya haven’t skied Stinch, you should. It has big hills with straight runouts. It’s grand scenery for SE MI. We go for 2 hours or so with a picnic stop or two. It’s not a race but you can hammer the hills if ya like. Then we regroup. Sweaty fun for all. Skills and fitness required due to bigness of hills, but it’s not technical. It’s a rare chance/place to get your gungho ski ya-ya’s out here in the downstate area. Go big!
