An excellent article on making wooden cross country skiis is contained in Fine Woodworking magazine, Nov./Dec. 1981, No. 31, pgs. 66, 68. I made a pair myself out of hickory and it was the only pair of skiis that I’ve had stolen. Have to pine tar them prior to use.
