Well, we finally got a good blast of snow and wind today. So Daisy and I went out and covered a few miles in the deep, hilly woods just before dark.
She liked her special jacket (she’s losing hair back there and, at age 12, gets colder than she used to). She kept up just fine. (Last year she wasn’t doing so well, but we found an arthritis med that really helped—we call it her “puppy medicine.”)
And, no, she’s not a mutt—she’s a GWP (German Wirehaired Pointer—a gunshy gundog or “burr-dog”).
The snow didn’t glide hardly at all, but it was nice to get out.
I could actually smell the snow.
Also, the car just loves its new (old) Hakkapalitta tires—chews up snow like its on pavement! It wants blizzards!
