I know I’m behind the times and this is lame geek stuff, but DANG, Pandora.com rocks!
Actually, it’s all relative. Some folks out there who don’t know Pandora might now find out!
It’s free. I wired it into our home stereo.
I’ve made a dozen of my own radio stations on it. Then I pick QuickMix and the thing does random play among em all forever. Whoa…
True, it misses my “best of the best” personal indy heroes lineup, but maybe we can do something about that via iTunes oneathesedays.
Here’s my lineup as of 9/08:
The Carter Family (folk heros)
Gillian Welch (grassy roots singer)
David Davis & WRB (bluegrass classic crooner, bluesy)
TVZ (Austin hero)
Guy Clark (Austin hero)
Steve Earle (Austin hero)
Robbie Fulks (country punk rural PITA talentissimo)
Gram Parsons (southern gothic)
Amy Winehouse (arrested R&B)
Madeleine Peyroux (torchy Frenchy)
The White Stripes (Detroit rough roots rock)
