Hi! I’m Jeff Potter and I run this place. UpNorth is the love-child of the national local culture media empire, OYB (Out Your Backdoor), and hooks back to the motherlode for national topics.
Now, everybody knows about Michigan’s pro sports, car factories, golf, jetskis, real estate, resorts, bars, concert venues, urban scenes and political worries—the major media and local tabloids cover all that endlessly.
But what about everything else? What about what regular people do for fun in a way that supports talented locals instead of corporations?
