You know that OYB is about outdoor activity, by and large. Well, sometimes we’re stuck indoors. What then for exercise? Here’s a guy who’s created a way to imitate outdoor activity.

Presenting Shovelglove! Our guy wraps a sledgehammer in a sweater and swings it around in various ways for 14 minutes. What a funny thing and a cute website.

14 minutes is enough time to get some fitness, but not so much that you dread it.

He swings the “shovelglove” in 4 ways—shoveling, churning, chopping and “the un-named motion”—like curling.

Funny stuff, I tell ya! It’s like the OYB Nerd workout. It’s totally unfancy, yet the resulting motions end up kind of nice. I like how it has evolved for the guy who developed it. It’s creative. He sees how motivation is vital to an honest, sustainable fitness routine. Make it yours and it’ll stay with you, he seems to say. It makes great sense. Check out his site and read on! : )
