If you want a compact, light boat to pack into outback locations or easily carry on a motorcycle or even bike trailer, this looks like a good one. I was looking for a folding canoe and here it is. Well, it’s only 10 feet long, a solo boat and I’d like to take at least one kid along but this would work. It’s only 16 pounds, too! $600. Not bad for this field.
I could only find a JPG pic of their kayak. Their website is too fancy’n’new for my Mac browser.
Now, I have an inflatable open kayak (canoe) that I got for $100 which is also fine—a Sevylor Tahiti. They’re rugged classics. But they’re a bit of a handful and don’t like to get very small when deflated. They paddle in a humorous way but hey it’s a boat. 25 lbs.
