Whups, many racers seem to have their own blogs chirping along — gotta google those. At least a few have announced and maybe even covered their prep up to race start. We’ll see what happens during the race! It’s always a surprise! So many things happen along the way…
(My favorite hero to date is Deanna Adams the 20-yr-old vegan girl who did it on a homemade fixie. She even got herself relegated by skipping a few miles somewhere. Icing on the cake! Now there’s a cosmic yet laser-focused racer dude. But there are so many others! Kent the Turtle who did it SS and creeped up to podium-level at one point quite near the end, spurring his startled geared rivals into a frenzy. Paul Howard the UK journalist did it, too, and wrote a book. How did he stay so sharp along the way? But so many stories…)
