In the 60’s there was a moped boom. The VeloSolex was the most popular model. It was built on a trusty black 3-speed style citybike frame and got 200 miles per gallon.
Then mopeds fell out of vogue.
Well, Vespas and the like have made a comeback the past few years and now it’s the moped’s turn.
The Solex is back for sale in the US, via direct website action at this company.
What looks like another big contender in the moped scene is Giant’s electric bike lineup but maybe they’re not real mopeds.
