Sassy, clever writing seems to be a hallmark of roadbike blogs. There are quite a few pretty good ones out there, even if some overdo the snarky side.
Many bike blogs, though, are so advocacy- and issues-oriented that their dryness sends me running.
Here are a few standouts…
Bobke Strut
A bike racing lore blog. Not Bob Roll’s, even though it seems to take its name from the original Bobke. It’s amazing how one bike race thread connects to another in the Strut… It was great to meet and re-meet some amazing old bike race characters from the 80’s there:

About Greg’s Big Day: www.bobkestrut.com/2008/09/04/king-of-the-world
Then there’s…
Bike Snob of NYC
Yeah, everyone knows this one already, but for those who don’t, check out bikesnobnyc.blogspot.com. This guy likes what’s savvy and trashes those who have the wrong attitude. He’s darn funny in his exposes and send-ups.
Here’s a just plain good one…
Dave Moulton’s Bike Blog
Dave is a famous old bike frame builder. Made Fuso and John Howard bikes. He can write, too. Covers a lot of neat bike culture aspects… davesbikeblog.squarespace.com/
