The best TdF reporter by far is George the Cyclist. He’s a 70-yr-old (approx) dude who bikes each stage before the race goes thru. He stealth camps and lives off the land, ultralowbudget. He knows racers and gets inside info each day. He’s a great writer, too. I set up his blog for him some years ago — I’ve been pleased to make his acquaintance. He had an email list before that. He’s been the oldest bike messenger in Chicago. He works winters as they get the best tips. He’s also a global film fest volunteer. Neat guy. georgethecyclist.blogspot.com/
