I’ve always thought that there’s a lot going down with camo.

It’s what people wear up north. It makes me wonder but recently it’s kind of won me over. There’s so many cool varients. I just saw some camo gloves that have lime colors veining thru it in some pop way.

I’ve personally developed what I’ve written about here as civil camo, uncamo camo—regular outfits that you can wear out strolling but which work as camo.

I think a camo ski outfit might be pretty cool. Heck, even racers might like it. What about camo bike race apparel…or camo for canoe racers—they’re always looking back to see who is gaining on them.

Then I saw some paintings by the Canadian “Group of Seven” showing the freaked-out harlequin “dazzle” battleship paint camo of WW1. Wow! I think Picasso was involved in this stuff. Really! (Check it out! –https://gotouring.com/razzledazzle/articles/dazzle.html)

Anyway, here’s a link to an article that shows just how much is going down in camo. Heck, it’s patriotic, national, the works!

It starts like this…

“Camouflage, you might think, is about blending in. But just as often, and especially these days, it’s about standing out. Camouflage hides shapes by generating hints of many other possible shapes. Instead of staying silent, in other words, camouflage succeeds by being noisy: it hides signal with noise. Socially and esthetically, too, camouflage is more and more often about advertising allegiance.”

The Comments afterward are just as good…man, there’s more than meets the eye to this camo stuff! Who got it first? The Rooskies, Canucks or Marines? The answer affects the morale of the fighting men!
