Bike, canoe, cross country ski. Knapsack. Jug a water.
That’s all you need.
The great outdoors, that’s where it’s at.
The ultimate co-ed education and experience resource center.
It runs all the way to downtown anywhere, too.
It was true in the past. It’s true today. No admission fees or permission required.

If it’s food you need, then a couple wildfoods books (no, a couple CLASSES), hooks, fishing line, etc., singleshot 12-ga and a Lee Loader.
If it’s cash you need, then a hoe and some traps (OK, back in the 1970’s anyway, when a muskrat pelt was worth $20 of today’s dollars. So, maybe juglines and nets instead).
If you want to step things up, maybe find an old sailboat nobody is using. They give em away.
JUST DO IT. For real, I mean.
NO STANDING AROUND! NO TV! No one hangin over yer head.
