The synergy rolls on!
The OYB message of all-one-world-outdoor-sport has recently appeared in: Messing About in Boats, Silent Sports and Canoe History. Now it has been two issues in a row of Backwoodsman! (Last month had 2 OYB stories, in fact: the crayfish report and a big letter about outdoor-themed wall displays.)
Coming up: quite possibly a couple bike mags!
Anyway, this issue of BWM is their second in the new layout with full-color, full-bleed covers. BWM had been low-key newsprint for decades. It has now entered the big leagues with its more mainstream pro standards. The first (previous) issue with the new look featured an interview with “Survivorman” Les Stroud.
BWM is a dandy magazine covering a wide range of backwoods topics and skills, including history and frontier re-enacting. It’s all done from an affordability point-of-view as well. Hook’n’bullet, boats, shanties, gardens — the works! No other mag gives old break-barrel singleshots and as-in military surplus so much respect! It’s been rolling now for decades. I’m most pleased to contribute what I can.
