Yeah, that's where we get all our xeroxing done. Because that's where our editor lives! Yeah, it makes SO MUCH sense! (I love the briney scent on the box. And the Homeland resealing tape.) Think of how much real world ultra-relevant action your issue has experienced...it's been through rough'n'tough ports, handled by brawny stevedores, shipped on a freighter over the rolling azure seas...

OK, "SlushPile" is the zeen of the ULA (Underground Literary Alliance), an activist group dedicated to opening-up the literary scene in America. Right now it's a closed-shop of a few elite MFA programs---and it hasn't produced anything of enduring impact for Americans in decades. Closed just doesn't work. We say a lot of the best, most relevant writing happens outside of academia, outside of NYC, and that zeening has more to offer than out of touch millionaire Ivy-Leaguers. We've struck a chord, too! People are responding. We've gotten huge press. --Largely because we've busted a lot of famous millionaire writers doing things like taking NEA grant money for starving writers. We've already changed the scene but we're pushing for more: Flyovers have a lot to offer and we're going to get them heard! "SlushPile" shows a range of writers we offer that the (unreadable) literary journals can't touch. What's more, I'll be launching a full line of ULA PRESS novels this summer! Look out below!
