| NAHBS: the big bike show! In Virginny 2/26-28

The National Handmade Bicycle Show is being held in Richmond, VA, this year, from 2/26-28.
It's worth a trip to the WEBSITE alone! Just cast your eyes over the scrolling array of bikes from all the exhibitors: there is more creativity, variety and richness here than in any YEARs'-worth stack of bike mags you can find anywhere! True! I defy you to show it ain't so!
And if you can go in PERSON, hoo-doggy! It's bike beauty overload! (I went last year to Indy and had to volunteer pronto to work the media side just so my brain wouldn't fry loitering amongst the ART. My eyes couldn't take the GLORY. And when two of the main Best Of's went to guys with just a card table and a chair and two frames you know there was JUSTICE, too. It makes you step back twice...)
Over 100 exhibitors, it looks like. And over a 12 Internationals likely.
Shimano as a title sponsor! --It's the big leagues for the little guys.
If you're in the area, check it out. It's the biggest annual gathering that highlights the custom highend bike people. But there are afffordable approaches to the handmade concept as well. Each year the show is held in a different region of the country. This year it's the East.
