Nausicaa: low budget live version of classic anime?
January 26, 2010

I really like all the Miyazaki movies (Studio Ghibli). They show cool young people on amazing adventures. The adventures always include the quiet places in neighborhoods and include folks of all ages and often feature a hero girl. Great art. Lots of bikes and a melange of futuristic and classic/vintage-type fashion and architecture.

So here's something confusing. I think it might be the traces of a low budget attempt to make a live action movie of "Nausicaa: Valley of the Wind." This blog shows a bunch of production stills, anyway. It has a neat atmosphere. Cheesy yet cool. I mean, they're using stuffed animals to be the little critters of the film. It's a bit like a Cosplay movie.

I'm ready!
